There are numerous ways in which alumni and friends can make gifts to the Northwestern State University Athletic Association.

Gifts of Cash and Pledges

The most popular way of giving to the NSU Athletic Association is through an unrestricted cash contribution or annual pledge. Donations may be made in the form of cash, check, money order, Visa, or MasterCard. You may also allocate your gift over the course of several months by utilizing the newly developed bank draft system, pay online, or NSU employees can make their contributions via payroll deduction.

Matching Gifts        
More than 700 companies will match employees' contributions to the NSU Athletic Association. Donors employed by a matching gift company receive credit for the company's contribution in addition to the individual gift when we determine membership benefits via level of donation.  Please inquire with your employer to determine if they sponsor a matching gift program or contact us for more information and we'll search our database of companies with programs. Click on "Matching Gifts" to use a searchable database to determine whether or not your company will match gifts to NSU Athletics.

Gifts of Stocks and Bonds
Many donors make gifts in the form of appreciated securities in order to benefit taxwise. You can receive an income tax deduction equal to the fair Markey value of the securities, as well as reduce - or eliminate - capital gains taxes on the transfer. Taking advantage of certain tax laws, as well as convenience, make gifts of stocks, securities, and real estate popular vehicles for substantial gifts to the NSU Athletic Association.

Gifts of Personal Property
