Services

Academic Counseling
Academic counseling is provided in partnership with the student-athletes' assigned academic advisors and college advising office.

Academic Monitoring
Current course grades and academic performance will be requested from instructors throughout the semester by the academic coordinator. These reports will be shared with the Head Coaches of each sport. If student-athletes are habitually missing classes, or not turning in class work, a meeting with the coach, academic coordinator and student-athlete will ensue.

Tutoring Services
Tutoring services are available to all student-athletes as a supplement to existing tutorial services on campus.

Study Skills Workshops
Can be arranged through the Athletic Student Services office. Referrals to the Center for Learning and Teaching provide additional support for individual academic and study skills support.

Academic Center
The Johnnie Emmons Academic Center, located in the athletic field house, is specifically designed with student-athletes in mind. The center has 36 study carrels, all of which are equipped with computers, 4 study/tutoring rooms, and a group study/meeting room.

Hours of Operation
During the academic school year the Johnnie Emmons Academic Center is open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday.
