How to Become a Student-Athlete

In order to become a student-athlete at any Division I institution you must file with the NCAA Clearinghouse, http://www.ncaaclearinghouse.net/ and be certified as a qualifier.

Being a qualifier means that you can practice, compete, and receive academic aid.  To become a qualifier you must meet the NCAA requirements of passing 14 core classes at a certain grade point average combined with the correct ACT or SAT score on the sliding scale (see the NCAA Clearinghouse website for further information)
