Biography

1996: Kentzel competed well last year in what was a year of learning for the walk-on. She was pushed immediately into a playing role due to injuries, filling the No. 6 singles spot and finishing 2-11 in singles play, and 1-9 at No. 3 doubles.

Before NSU: Kentzel earned four letters in tennis, three letters, and two letters in soccer. She won the regional tennis championship in her sophomore year and placed third in the state championships in her senior year.

Personal: Kentzel is majoring in psychology and wants to become a child psychologists after graduation. Kentzel enjoys painting and listening to music. She is the daughter of W.T. Kentzel and was born on 4/3/77.
