2004 Season (Sophomore): Did not play.

2003 Season (Freshman): In singles competition, played in the No. 6 spot finishing 5-15 on the season...in doubles, while teaming up with Camila Prado, Pagels played in the No. 3 spot and finished 6-13.

2001 Season: On the volleyball team.

High School: Kristen was an honor roll student with a 3.0 grade point average at Kempner High School...she was a one-year letter-winner in tennis and volleyball...was the district runner-up in doubles tennis in District 5A where she took one first, two second and one third-place finishes in competition...she was also a district champ and a USTA Team Tennis State finalist...off the court, she was a People-to-People Student Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand, a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where she was the social officer and vice president.
 
Personal: Full name is Kristen Ann Pagels...father Mark is an engineer and mother Darlene is a writer...her life's ambition is to own a clothing boutique and help people "look better. dress better, so they can feel better about themselves"...stars run in her family, she has a cousin, Jeff Pagels, who climbed Mount Rainier as a paraplegic and an uncle, Scott Pagels, who was Rookie of the Year in Northeast Wisconsin Stock Car Racing.
