NATCHITOCHES – The final home weekend game of the season for both Northwestern State basketball teams will be about both the present and the past.
 
Northwestern's doubleheader matchup against Houston Christian will serve as alumni weekend for both women's and men's basketball teams. The reunion weekend will honor a pair of anniversaries – the 2000-01 men's team that collected the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history and the 2005-06 "Demons of Destiny," which upset third-seeded Iowa in a signature March Madness moment.
 
All Northwestern basketball alumni are invited to participate in the ceremonies at both games of the final home doubleheader of the 2025-26 season. The twin matchups with the Huskies begin at 1 p.m. on Mike McConathy Court at Prather Coliseum.
 
All Northwestern basketball alumni who RSVP to the event by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, will receive a free ticket for the responder with the ability to purchase all other tickets for the doubleheader at $5 apiece. The holders of those tickets will be awarded access to the VIP area between games with food and drinks provided.
