NSU has 86 student-athletes on SLC Fall Honor Roll

NATCHITOCHES – For the third straight fall semester, more than half of all Northwestern State student-athletes earned Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll honors.
 
The league office announced the Fall 2025 recipients on Tuesday with the Demons seeing 86 total selections across their five fall sports (men's and women's cross country, football, soccer and volleyball).
 
To be eligible for the conference honor roll, athletes must earn and minimum 3.0 grade point average during the semester of competition.
 
The Demon football team led the way with 47 honorees and had the most student-athletes with 4.0 grade point averages during the semester. They narrowly edged out the women's soccer team with seven 4.0 students.
 
There were 34 total student-athletes with 3.5 or higher averages.
 
Overall, NSU student-athletes posted a 3.23 grade point average during the fall semester, marking the nine straight semester with at least a 3.04 cumulative GPA department wide, dating back to Fall 2021. The 3.23 total is the third straight semester with at least a 3.1 overall GPA.
 
The 17 student-athletes who posted 4.0 GPAs were men's cross country's Andrew Kent, women's cross country's Gracie Evers, football's Jackson Chiasson, Cam George, Myion Hicks, Abram Johnston, Eli Little, Nicholas Soileau, Ben Taylor and Landon Vallee, and soccer's Emily Mougia, Madison Murphy, Gabriela Page, Emma Pethel, Kennedy Rist, Jessica Spitzer and Riley Stern.
