NATCHITOCHES – Homecoming Week at Northwestern State will be a little more "mad" this year.
Northwestern's basketball Demon Madness presented by Flying Heart Brewing and Pub returns Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m. inside Prather Coliseum, allowing Northwestern fans their first chance to see the men's and women's basketball teams in action.
The event will feature a slam dunk contest, 3-point contests and scrimmages involving both teams. Northwestern season-ticket holders will be able to pick up their physical tickets for the 2025-26 season, and there will be opportunities for fans to win prizes based on the outcomes of the dunk and 3-point contests.
Games involving Northwestern students also will take place during the event's halftime while members of both teams will be available to sign autographs starting when doors open.
There also will be games involving Northwestern students and food will be provided by Flying Heart from 5:30 p.m. until supplies run out.
Admission to Demon Madness is free and open to the public.
