DENTON, Texas – The Northwestern State volleyball team hits the road this weekend for the UNT-UTA Invitational Friday and Saturday.
The Demons (1-7) will take on the Little Rock Trojans (2-4) and UT-Arlington Mavericks (6-0) Friday at noon and 5 p.m. in Denton before facing the North Texas Mean Green (4-2) Saturday at 1 p.m. in Arlington, Texas.

Ben Kaszeta stressed a few improvements his team needs to make entering the weekend.
"We need to take care of the ball offensively," said Kaszeta, "We need to make better choices serving and offensively this weekend and give ourselves a chance to be more competitive."
The Demons enter the weekend looking to snap a seven-game losing streak. However, NSU has had their individual brights spots led by freshman
Elsie Sanchez Oliver in kills with 55.
Jade Longlad continues to lead the Southland Conference in kills with 18 aces while
Reagan Hamm is second in the league with 13. NSU also leads the conference in aces as a team with 49.
Junior
Deja Benjamin leads the team and is 10
th in the Southland with 24 blocks. The Houston native had four blocks in Tuesday's match against ULM.
