FULL SCHEDULE

NATCHITOHES – First-year Northwestern State volleyball head coach Ben Kaszeta announced the program's full 2025 schedule on Friday.

After a home exhibition match against Louisiana Tech on Aug. 23, the Demons begin the season with three matches on the road in Memphis, Tenn., the first of four tournament weekends, where they take on Tennessee State at 1 p.m. on opening day, Aug. 29.

Following opening weekend in Tennessee, NSU plays the first of three midweek matches taking it to Abilene Christian on Sept. 3 before a weekend in Stephenville, Texas at the Tarleton State Invitational Sept. 5-6.

The first seven matches of the season for the Demons are on the road.

NSU's home opener for the 2025 season is set for Sept. 9 against ULM, the first time the Warhawks make their way to Natchitoches for a midweek match since 2021. ULM last played in Prather Coliseum two years ago as part of the Battle for the Boot weekend that year.

The final two tournament weekends take the Demons to North Texas/UT Arlington (Sept. 12-13) and Southern Miss (Sept. 19-20). NSU takes on Little Rock, North Texas and UTA in matches hosted by both the Dallas-based schools. NSU will play Grambling as part of the Golden Eagle weekend on Sept. 19.

Southland Conference play begins the following week on Sept. 25 with the Demons hosting UIW followed by a home match against HCU two days later.

NSU makes its longest road trip of the season, both in terms of drive time and days away from Prather Coliseum, to open the month of October. Four straight road contests will take the Demons to UTRGV (Oct. 2), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Oct. 4), Southeastern (Oct. 9) and New Orleans (Oct. 11).

When they return home on Oct. 15 to face McNeese, the lone Wednesday match during the Southland slate, the Demons also start a stretch of three of four home matches that include Lamar (Oct. 23) and Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 25).

It serves as one of two different stretches during conference play where the Demons play three of four matches inside Prather Coliseum.

The second comes over the final four matches of the season when they host East Texas A&M (Nov. 6), part of the back-to-back, home-and-home matches with Lions that weekend, before seeing UTRGV (Nov. 13) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Nov. 15) come to town to close the regular season.

The 2025 Southland Conference Tournament is set to begin on Nov. 21 and will be played in Commerce, Texas at East Texas A&M. The top eight teams earn a spot in the postseason bracket based on their regular-season finish, regardless of division.

NSU is the only Louisiana school in the gold division and plays UIW, HCU, East Texas A&M, UTRGV and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi twice during the season with only one meeting against teams in the black division.
