NATCHITOCHES – Friday's Southland Conference baseball series opener between Nicholls and Northwestern State has been postponed because of expected consistent rain in the area.
 
With the forecast calling for rain throughout Friday afternoon, the teams now will play a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday and finish the series with a 1 p.m. Sunday matinee.
 
This will be the first doubleheader of the season for the Demons.
