HAMMOND – After a challenging weekend at McNeese, the Northwestern State tennis team aims to bounce back when it continues its lengthy road trip.

The Lady Demons (8-6, 1-2) head to Southeastern on Saturday at 11 a.m. to continue conference play.

In her second season as a Lady Demon, Sofi Garcia has put up a dominant performance in singles.

Garcia has a 10-3 singles record, with wins against Lamar and McNeese.

Southeastern (7-9, 0-3) is coming off a 4-0 non-conference win against St. Thomas.

The Lady Lions are led by Alba Perez.

Perez, a senior from Valencia, Spain, competes in the No. 1 position and has wins against Southern and Dillard.

Kate Oborina, a junior for the Lady Lions, has a 6-2 singles record on the season.

NSU leads the overall series against Southeastern 30-9 and has won 12 matchups in a row.

The Lady Demons finish their string of road games with visits to New Orleans and Nicholls April 6 and 8 before returning home April 13 for their last regular season matchup against Texas A&M–Corpus Christi.
