NATCHITOCHES – The first chance to see Northwestern State's basketball teams will come a little earlier than their season openers.
 
The teams will host "Demon Madness" at 6 p.m. Oct. 24 inside Prather Coliseum.
 
The event will feature a slam dunk contest, 3-point contests featuring both current players and NSU students, scrimmages involving both teams, a live DJ and the opportunity for Northwestern season ticket holders to pick up their physical tickets.
 
Students in attendance will receive a Whataburger coupon, redeemable at either Natchitoches location.
 
Doors will open at 5 p.m. at which time both teams will be present for an autograph session. Members of Northwestern's Homecoming court also will be honored at halftime of the scrimmage, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. following the dunk and 3-point contests and the introduction of both teams.
