Ava-Grace Hebert finished 23
rd out of 48 participants, pacing the Northwestern State women's cross country team at the Cowboy Toyota Stampede on Saturday morning.
Hebert, a freshman from Broussard, La., led the quartet of NSU runners, at 23
rd with a time of 21:17.1 in the 5-kilometer race.
Sophomore
Abria Paul was the second NSU runner to cross the finish line, placing 29
th with a time of 23:44.0.
Olivia Sipes, a senior from White Oak, Texas, was the third Lady Demon to cross the finish line, placing 40
th with a time of 25:37.4.
Newcomer Elyse Jacobs finished the 5K at 46
th place with a time of 31:20.9.
The Demons and Lady Demons return to action on Saturday at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival.
