LINCOLN, Nebraska – Rainy weather forced the cancellation of Friday's series opener between the Northwestern State baseball team and Nebraska.
 
The game, originally scheduled for 4:05 p.m., will not be made up. The teams will play the remainder of the weekend series as scheduled. Saturday's game will begin at 2:05 p.m. while Sunday's series finale is set for 11:05 a.m.
 
This marks the first cancellation of the season for Northwestern State, which has seen three of its first four weekend series affected by weather.
