NATCHITOCHES – More than 500 high school cross country runners are set to take over Northwestern State's campus Saturday for the NSU Pre-State High School Cross Country Meet.
The 3-mile meet will be held at the Walter P. Ledet Track Complex and the adjacent fields. Action is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. for the varsity girls and 10:15 a.m. for the varsity boys. Junior varsity for both girls and boys will follow at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. respectively.
Check in is from 8:30 - 9:15 a.m. in the purple building inside the track complex.
Entrance to the track facility will be through the Lady Demon Soccer Complex gates on the left-hand side of the track.
Schools registered for the meets include Bossier, Castor, Catholic, Cedar Creek, Choudrant,, Claiborne Christian, D'arbonne Woods Charter School, Grace Christian School, Harrisonburg, Haughton, Holy Savior Menard, Iowa, Jena, Mansfield, Natchitoches Central, North DeSoto, North Webster, Ouachita Christian, Parkview Baptist, Pickering, Quitman, Red River, Runnels, South Beauregard, St. Fredrick, St. Michael, Sterlington, University Lab School, Ville Platte, West Ouachita, Weston, West Feliciana, and Vidalia.
