NATCHITOCHES – As part of the 2016 football "Purple Pandemonium" campaign, on Saturday the NSU Athletics ticket office will take its operation to the front steps of Walmart on Keyser Avenue, giving shoppers the opportunity to see first-hand and test a model of the new chairbacks installed in Turpin Stadium.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., season tickets will be available for purchase with specific seat selection being available to buyers on site at Walmart. Chairback season tickets begin at $105 for the five home game slate, and general admission tickets are available for $65. NSU opens its home game schedule on Thursday, September 8 at 6 p.m. against Incarnate Word.

"This is a great opportunity for us to interact face-to-face with a large segment of our community," said Mike Jacklich, director of ticketing. "We look forward to shaking hands with folks on Saturday and talking about what will be a very exciting football season. We may even give away some free hugs."

Throughout the four-hour span, members of the NSU football team, Spirit of Northwestern marching band and representatives from NSU's spirit squads will be on hand to interact with shoppers and fans, as well.
