COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Steady rain and the threat of stronger storms later in the afternoon led to the cancellation of Wednesday's Northwestern State-Texas A&M baseball game.
The game, the second of a two-game midweek series, will not be rescheduled.
It is the second rainout of the season for the Demons, who also saw a game against Sacramento State canceled on Feb. 23.
Northwestern State dropped the first game of the series, 7-6, on Tuesday night as a late-game rally came up just shy of erasing a five-run deficit.
The Demons return to action Friday night at 6:30 p.m. when they host Lamar in the Southland Conference opener for both teams. The rest of the series with the Cardinals is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
