NATCHITOCHES -- Travel issues have prompted the cancellation of Sunday's finale of a three-game baseball series between Northwestern State and Creighton.
The teams played a doubleheader Friday before Saturday's single game was canceled because of weather concerns. The Bluejays' scheduled flight out of Shreveport on Sunday evening was canceled, leading Creighton to find alternate means of travel back to Omaha, Neb.
The teams split the doubleheader with Creighton earning a 4-3, 10-inning win in the opener and Northwestern State notching a 6-2 victory in the nightcap.
The Demons return to aciton Tuesday when they travel to Waco, Texas, for the opener of a two-game midweek series at Baylor. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
