NATCHITOCHES – Radio coverage of Northwestern State's 2014 football season through the Demon Sports Network in Alexandria on Lagniappe Broadcasting's 105.5 KBKK FM is being supported by Central Louisiana-based RoyOMartin, NSU athletics director Greg Burke announced.

RoyOMartin, a community partner, is the lead sponsor for the Central Louisiana broadcasts, which continue this Saturday evening with a 5:30 pregame show on the Demon Sports Network before the 6:05 kickoff from Baton Rouge between NSU and the Southern Jaguars.

Alexandria's 105.5 KBKK FM carries every Demon football game, with the exception of the Oct. 11 homecoming game against Incarnate Word that will be aired on another Lagniappe Broadcasting station, 104.3 The Bridge.

"RoyOMartin has been a community partner in Central Louisiana for many years, and NSU Athletics is very appreciative of their continuing support," said Burke. "We're proud to officially announce this enhanced partnership, which brings Demon football broadcasts to a wide audience, from Alexandria and Pineville and into many other communities—all part of the heartbeat of Northwestern State University.

"We have many alumni, students, and supporters around Central Louisiana who can listen to our games through our Alexandria radio partners at 105.5 KBKK," he said. "Many of our players are young men who graduated from area high schools, and that adds to the appeal of following Demon football and NSU Athletics."

Burke also pointed to the sponsorship benefitting fans of in-state teams the Demons face each fall, with this season's slate including the next two non-conference foes, Southern and Louisiana Tech, and in-state Southland Conference rivals McNeese, Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls.
