NATCHITOCHES – While season ticket sales continue at a brisk pace for the upcoming Northwestern State football campaign, single-game sales have started including for the Sept. 7 matchup in Turpin Stadium between the Demons and the Southern Jaguars.

All 15,971 seats in Turpin Stadium will be reserved and sold at $20 each for that game, following the same plan used for Southern's last visit in 2000, said Kyle Barnard, the NSU athletic ticket manager. Southern's three previous trips to NSU (1996, 1998 and 2000) all sold out Turpin Stadium.

Purchases can be made at the NSU ticket office in the NSU Athletic Fieldhouse just south of Turpin Stadium or online at the NSUDemons.com/tickets link. For questions, call 318-357-4268.

Chairback seats are held for NSU season ticket holders. They are located on the west side of the stadium in sections B-K. Season tickets include six home games at Turpin Stadium, beginning with the Southern game.

Visiting team fan tickets are located in sections J and K on the northwest side of the stadium.

All other seats will also be numbered and assigned in the upper deck of the west side of the stadium, or on the east side above the railing that defines the NSU student section bordering the east sideline.

NSU students will be able to claim their tickets beginning in August when classes begin on campus. No student guest tickets will be sold for the Southern game, said Barnard.

Group prices are not available for the NSU-Southern contest.
