NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State baseball team will look to end its nine-game skid on Tuesday when the Demons take on the University of Louisiana-Monroe at 6:30 in Brown-Stroud Field.
The game can be heard on the radio in Natchitoches on 100.7 KZBL or online by live stream at NSUDemons.com.  Patrick Netherton will have the call.
Northwestern State (9-17, 0-3 Southland) enter the game with nine straight losses, including drops to #17 Oklahoma, #3 LSU, and Southeastern Louisiana, who was receiving ranking votes early in the season.
The Demons and ULM (9-15, 1-5 Sun Belt) played a weekend series earlier in this season.  NSU took two-of-three, but the total difference in all three games combined was four runs.
Right-handed pitcher Ashton Sivigliano (2-0, 4.61 ERA) is projected to get the first start of his career for NSU on Tuesday, and he will face off against left-handed pitcher Trey Stetzer (0-2, 6.75).
Will Watson returned to the lineup during last weekend's series against Southeastern Louisiana, and he continues to lead the team in batting average (.350), runs batted in (13), slugging percentage (.450), and on-base percentage (.447).
Taylor Abdalla is the Warhawks leading hitter with a .283 batting average. Judd Edwards leads the team in runs batted in with 12.
Due to Easter weekend, the Demons will play a weekend series at McNeese State on Thursday (6:30), Friday (6:30), and Saturday (1:00).  Northwestern State will return home for a weekend series against Central Arkansas on April 5th.
