Keisha Lee, who tied her career-high of 23 points in her last outing, will lead the Northwestern State women's basketball team in the second of three straight road games for the Lady Demons when they take on Nicholls State at 2 o'clock on Thursday in Southland Conference action.
Lee and Janelle Perez accounted for 38 points in the Lady Demons (9-14, 5-8 SLC) 66-60 loss to Southeastern Louisiana on Thursday night.
Nicholls (15-8, 7-5 SLC) just got by Stephen F. Austin 65-64 on Thursday. Alisha Allen, the Colonel's season leading scorer, had 14 points. KK Babin finished the game with 12 points.
The two teams met for the first time this season on Jan. 17 on ESPN 3. Nicholls jumped out to a 15 point lead midway through the first half, but Northwestern State battled back to win the game 64-55.
Lee was the game's leading scorer with 22, and Perez followed her with 14.
Arianne Ausmer dominated the boards grabbing 12 rebounds.
Allen averages 15 points a game this season and also leads the team in rebounds with six a contest. Babin follows with 12.7 points and 4.9 assists a contest, the team lead.
Jasmine Upchurch continues to lead the Lady Demons with 12.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game. Both Lee and Perez average 11 points a contest.
The Lady Demons will travel to Texas A&M- Corpus Christi on Tuesday, and then return to Prather Coliseum on Feb. 23 for a matchup against New Orleans.
