NATCHITOCHES – Due to heavy morning thunderstorms, the Northwestern State-Stephen F. Austin Southland Conference baseball game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Brown-Stroud Field has been postponed and will now be a part of a 2 o'clock doubleheader on Saturday.

The first game will be broadcast on the Demon Sports Network as will Sunday's 1 o'clock finale.

NSU, 7-2 in conference play, is in a tie for first place with Sam Houston State in the league standings and is out to its best start since the 2005 championship season.

The baseball reunion will go on as planned with a Friday evening gathering at Mama's Oyster House & Blues Room on Front Street begining at 6:30 with live music, food and drinks.  Saturday's tailgate will begin at noon with a crawfish boil at the Collins Pavilion located on the football practice field.
