NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State will return briefly to Prather Coliseum on Friday when it hosts Loyola of New Orleans at 5:45 in women's basketball action.

This will be just the second home game of the season for the Lady Demons (1-3) and just the second of five through the end of December.  Loyola (6-0), a member of the NAIA, will be entering the contest coming off an impressive win over Louisiana College.

The game will precede a men's contest pitting NSU against Jacksonville State.  Admission to the doubleheader is a special “Black Friday” shoppers' bargain rate of $1.

The Lady Demons are coming off a competitive, 64-51, loss at South Alabama in their last outing.  In that game, junior forward Trudy Armstead recorded her second double-double of the season after scoring 16 points with 12 rebounds.

Armstead leads the team in both scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.8 rpg) while senior guard Jordi James is the only other Lady Demon netting double figures in scoring at a 12.3 per game clip.

The Wolfpack have three players that average double figures in scoring – Keiva Council (19.8), Jasmine Brewer (16.7), and Amy Moody (14.5).   Council also tops the team in rebounding with an 8.0 per game average.

Following Friday's game, the Lady Demons will hit the road for a Tuesday visit to Prairie View.
