1968-70

First black Demon basketball player in 1968, transferring home in 1967  from Southern University … two-year All-Gulf States Conference selection … chosen for the Top 100 Demon Basketball Players roster celebrating the centennial season in 2013 … averaged 10.3 rebounds from 1968-70, the fourth-best career average in school history … his 12.3 rebound average in 1969-70 ranks eighth in school history … averaged 17.7 points as a senior and shot 53%  … drafted in the NBA by Chicago (13th round, 201st pick) in 1970, and in the ABA by Washington … an injury halted his pro career … he has recently retired from a career as a labor representative in southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico ... was first black man to serve as business agent and delegate for three different local carpenter unions.
