Collingsworth won a total of seven varsity letters in basketball and track and field, helping both sports win a combined six Gulf States Conference championships … an All-GSC guard for Coach “Red” Thomas in 1952, 1953 and 1954 as NSC captured the conference title each of those three year …  named conference MVP following his senior season, averaging 22 points per game … named to the 2012-13 Demon Basketball Centennial Celebration’s Top 100 Demons of the Century roster as part of the “Fantastic 50” squad (1912-1976) … Collingsworth, competing for Coach Walter Ledet in track and field, long jumped 22-10 and won three letters in that sport for a program that won GSC championships in 1953, 1954 and 1955 .... was a high school basketball coach at Florien, Simsboro and Bossier.
