Adam Jones have been included on the 26
th Annual USA College Football FCS Preseason All-American list presented by American Football Networks.
The roster includes 160 top FCS performers on the first and second teams selected from over 12,000 competitors at the 122 FCS programs around the country.
Eagan (5-10, 181), who made the Associated Press All-America team last fall as an all-purpose player, was listed among 18 receivers on the preseason first-team All-America list heading into his senior year.
Murphy (6-6, 279), an All-Southland Conference selection as a junior last season who is on many NFL Draft analysts lists for 2016, was a second-team preseason All-America pick. Also on the second team was Jones, a 6-2, 196-pound junior who made the All-Southland team last fall.
Eagan broke six school records for receiving and return production in 2014. The New Orleans-Holy Cross product was second nationally in all-purpose yards per game (181).
Murphy was a standout on the Demons' offensive line as NSU broke 30 offensive and special teams records last fall. He was among 50 offensive linemen on the two preseason All-America lists.
Jones from Katy, Texas, and Seven Lakes High School, snagged five interceptions in his first year at safety after playing outside linebacker as a true freshman in 2013. He was among 46 defensive backs spotlighted by American Football Networks.
The Demons, 6-6 last year against the nation's 10
th-toughest schedule, report to start preseason camp Aug. 4, and open the season at home Thursday, Sept. 3 against Southeastern Louisiana.
