Deamer and Hollier were among six seniors voted by teammates to receive the 2013 Joe Delaney Memorial Leadership Awards as permanent team captains. Hollier, center

Blayne Cole won offensive honors, Deamer and cornerback
Imoan Claiborne represented the defense and tight end
Tucker Nims was chosen special teams captain.
Hollier also claimed the Offensive Most Valuable Player award voted by teammates. Deamer was the Defensive MVP and
Zach Adkins, the Demons' quarterback, was the Newcomer of the Year. He was also presented an Offensive Player of the Year award and senior linebacker Pat Black took home a Defensive Player of the Year award.
Linebacker
Will Anglin and cornerback
Shane McLendon were recognized for having the team's best spring semester 2013 GPA, each posting a 4.0, while linebacker
Paxton Cook and safety
Cody Jones matched that to win the fall semester 2013 academic award.
Defensive end
Keland Johnson won the prestigious Lester Latino Memorial Award. The honor, chosen by the coaching staff, is presented to the senior best reflecting qualities of leadership, unselfishness, relentless effort, sportsmanship and character as displayed by Latino, a two-time team captain as a linebacker whose career wrapped up in 1969.
Cole won the Most Improved Award for offense, while defensive tackle
Damon Medcafe won for defense.
Senior offensive lineman
Tchissakid Player received the Kirt Straughter Memorial Award for strength and conditioning excellence after winning the annual Trident Competition, a series of tests gauging top marks in speed, strength, agility and conditioning.
Sophomore receiver and kick returner
Ed Eagan captured the Wild Demon Club Champion award for the most performance points accumulated during the season on special teams.
Brandon Monrose and Claiborne shared the Most Improved special teams honor.
Deep snapper
Hunter Graves won the Specialist of the Year award.
Nine players were recognized as Chris Waddell Award winners, for outstanding performance and effort as a walk-on: safeties
Chase Collins and
Ryan Sorrell, linebackers
Paxton Cook and
Jordan Sennett, receivers
Trevor Goodie and Monrose, cornerback
Fred Thomas, and running backs
De'Mard Llorens and
Matthew Flores.
Nine received Scout Team MVP honors: linebacker
Will Anglin, running back William Cummings, defensive lineman
Isaiah Wheeler, and special teams performers
Orlando Calhoun and
Caviaan Rachal.
Fifteen were presented Sam Goodwin Link Awards for great effort, discipline, courage and toughness. They included Adkins,
Garrett Atzenweiler, Black, Cole, Cook, Deamer,
Justin Evans, Hollier, Johnson, Jones,
Bryant Mitchell,
Calvin Morton, Nims, Player,
Darius Poullard,
Tyler Roussel, Sorrell and
Bert White.
Also honored were 29 Demons who won Southland Conference Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recognition, along with 11 chosen for the All-Southland football team.
Awards were presented Saturday at a luncheon following the Demons' major scrimmage of spring practice.
